Description: Gain more confidence in learning how to adapt yoga for pregnancy either for yourself or your students within the LYT style for each trimester. Understand the physical changes in pregnancy and how yoga can help minimize postural compensations to support a functional birth and postpartum recovery. Experience a prenatal class and special additions to include to benefit yourself or your students as they prepare for labor and birth. (Target audience, women child-bearing age.)

Learn about the benefits of yoga for after birth, best way to start movement again and reconnect to core and pelvic floor, what is safe movement week by week, how to adjust for certain conditions, experiencing a postpartum yoga practice, the benefits and practice of mindfulness and relaxation on recovery.

Description: Want to get your body back fast?
Try a smarter and more effective approach as you learn about the do's and dont's when engaging in movement postpartum. Support yourself and your students to restrengthen the core and pelvic floor while undoing compensations developed during pregnancy. Learn how to spot poor engagement and make changes in your practice and daily life to promote an effective and strong recovery. Experience a mini class and postpartum exercises to re-pattern your muscles and bring everything back home to center.

Led by Kristen Boccumini

Kristen is a Prenatal & Postnatal Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES), Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT), ERYT500, and LYT(R) Yoga Teacher with a Masters in Exercise Science & Rehabilitation. She is a mother of 4 beautiful and crazy kiddos, so she gets it! Having experienced her own pregnancy aches and pains and postpartum surprises she became frustrated after being brushed off by doctors for having these “commonly normal” side effects that may seem common but not “normal.” Kristen wanted more answers for how to develop a strong dynamic body and heal conditions like diastasis recti and pelvic floor dysfunction. Now she brings what she's learned, experienced, and developed to you! Kristen looks forward to working with you to learn more about yoga for pregnancy and postpartum.
